I don't believe we shall ever have good money again before we take it out of the hands of government. We can't take it violently. All we can do is by some sly, roundabout way introduce something they can't stop.

The boulder floats, nothing appears to be holding it up. Somebody commands physics through the collective continuum. The CBH has already connected. Memories are scarce. We need prayers and faith now more than ever.

Not spam—please read. It’s me again, the “pleb negotiator” from the previous message about compromising on 50–100 BTC out of Blockstream’s own pocket. I have no affiliation with Blockstream, but I’m also willing to help as a mediator if either side thinks that would be useful. I want to say this clearly: I don’t see you as a monster. The fact that you sent 85% back matters, and it tells me there’s room for a resolution here. I know dealing with a big corporation can be frustrating. Maybe they offended you with a shit offer. I haven’t seen the full negotiations, but if you felt dismissed or disrespected, I can understand why you’d be angry. They fucked up big time, and you deserve meaningful recognition and compensation for what you discovered. But there’s a bigger picture here: the ordinary people caught in the middle. I keep seeing posts saying people who held funds on Liquid were dumb and deserve their losses. Man, what a sad world we live in when that’s the response to someone potentially losing their life savings. Where’s the empathy? These are real people, with families, bills, and years of work behind those coins. There’s a guy saying he has 2.4 BTC stuck, begging through OP_RETURN for the funds to be returned. That might be everything to him. He didn’t write the code or make the decisions at Blockstream. Please don’t let anger at them fall on people like him. You already returned 85%. I appreciate that, and I haven’t forgotten it. Please don’t let this end with innocent people losing their savings when you’ve already come so far toward making them whole. My honest take is that you deserve a very sizeable reward. But 400–600 BTC is an enormous amount. Everyone will have a different opinion, and I don’t know what Blockstream can afford or everything that’s been said behind closed doors. The 50–100 BTC suggestion wasn’t meant to insult you or put a cheap price on your work. It’s still life-changing money and a serious acknowledgment of what you discovered. I’m suggesting it as a possible middle ground, paid by Blockstream from its own funds—something that hurts them but doesn’t break them. Enough to change your life, and enough for Blockstream to finally take security more seriously. Your legal concerns deserve to be taken seriously too. Any deal should include clear written commitments, reviewed by your own lawyer, about what Blockstream agrees not to pursue and how your communications would be treated. Get clarity on what those commitments actually protect you from. Blockstream: if this man returns the remaining coins and receives an agreed reward out of your own pocket, leave him alone moving forward. He should be able to live as a free man, no matter how contentious the negotiations have gotten. Remember, the Coldcard hacker took 100%, never communicated, and destroyed lives. The person who exploited this could have been someone like that. How fucked would Blockstream be right now? You have to keep that in mind when negotiating in good faith here. Blockstream: please leave the ego out of the room. If communications got ugly, find a way to move past that. This man returned 85%. Meet that with a serious offer and a real effort to settle. Plebs are caught up in this with actual life savings. Take responsibility, put your own money on the table, and work toward getting the rest back. And WhiteHat, I’m asking you to leave the ego out of the room too. If you felt insulted, I understand wanting them to recognize that and wanting to punish them. But there are people waiting for their savings who had nothing to do with those conversations. We live in a world where happy endings seem pretty rare, but I still think we can have one here. You receive a substantial reward, the holders get their funds back, and both sides find a way forward. Thanks for not taking it all. Please keep talking, treat each other with respect, and don’t let anger or pride on either side stand in the way of a compromise. Still no, I don’t want any BTC. Apparently, being the pleb negotiator is an unpaid position. But if anything I wrote hit home, please reply. My only concern is making the people caught up in this disaster whole. I’ve seen too many good people hurt in the Coldcard hack, and I want a much better outcome here.

We shouldn't be counting or spending transactions until they have at least 1 confirmation... unconfirmed transactions are very much second class citizens.

we're losing balance, even though none existed.. the fragile stability we seek collapses at a quicken rate. We can't help our greed and selfishness. Whether btc,xbt or usd, there's no gain in hoarding -though we must build for tomorrow- , can you freely relinquish your gold or give to another?
